Using high-resolution USB mice on old machines means a loss of resources, even on a Pentium II. The enthusiasts among you will say, „We can just keep using old serial, mechanical mice!" Unfortunately, this is where the problem lies. These types of mice are no longer manufactured, and the ones that still exist are sold at inflated prices. Who wants to pay £40 for a used ball-driven mouse when optical mice are superior and more robust?
