Preview – Arduino Motor Shield with L298P

Last Updated on 21 March 2023 by Suffocation

Found another motor shield on fast Ali again, this one has an L298 motor driver. What's interesting here is that the braking function and current measurement are brought out.

What is a previewAs I'm increasingly losing track of the hardware ordered, I'll write a small preview after placing an order. When I get to the hardware, I'll replace the corresponding preview with the actual post. This will give you the opportunity to view and comment on the upcoming hardware in advance. I'll then prioritise the posts based on your comments or my mood and time ;).

Special features

External voltage must be applied, otherwise the motors will not function, meaning it cannot be operated via the Arduino's supply voltage without an additional bridge.

On the rear, there are solder tags for configuring the braking function and for disconnecting the current measurement.

The current consumption of the motors can be measured at A0/ A1
